September 2023 Mission Trip

9/22/2023 – 10/3/2023

Rwanda – Africa

Hello! I am so excited about your interest in our upcoming mission trip!  My first trip to Rwanda was life changing and every trip after that first one has been impactful to my life in so many ways.  Whether it’s meeting the needs of a local villager, seeing the impact of our work in the lives of the children we serve, or hearing testimonies of the lives changed through our sewing program, I come back more grateful and motivated to keep building and doing Kingdom work.  I cannot wait to have you join me and see how the Lord will use your giftings to impact the people of Rwanda and how He will use the people of Rwanda to impact your life. Because it will surely happen!

On this page, you will find all the information needed to help you prepare for your trip.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out at any time. Once you have made a decision, fill out our application, and you will be added to the trip. Again, all the information and links are listed below.

I am excited you are considering joining us and look forward to serving the people of Rwanda with you by my side.

In Service,

Andrea Williams

PURPOSE

To minister the love and grace of Jesus to the people of Rwanda through encouragement, support, and helping hands.

Proposed Mission Projects:

      • A day in the life of a family (a preschool and bee farm, a bakery, a fishing coop, a pastor)
      • Construction (this depends of who we have going on the trip. We have a house that needs to be rebuilt.)
      • Teaching Classes (sewing, VBS, music…anything you are gifted to teach)
      • Ministry with families
      • Natural gifting ideas – Are you gifted in an area not listed? Let us know. We would love to find an opportunity to put your talents to good use!
      • Home visits to our sponsored kids
      • Learning to sew or how to do a local craft

**The mission projects for each mission trip are chosen based on the skills and giftings of the ones going on the mission trip.  Mission trip projects are decided closer to the departure date.

FUNDRAISING

The Mission Minder site offers you the ability to share your mission trip on social media to gain support for the work you will be doing in Rwanda.  I also have a packet with some fundraising ideas that I can share with you. Also, googling “fundraisers for mission trips” will provide you with many great ideas as well. If you need help crafting a fundraising letter or some images of Rwanda or IWSI in Rwanda, please do not hesitate to reach out. I will also begin compiling some of these ideas in our Mission Minder team portal.  All donations received for the trip are tax-deductible.
